Leben, Krieg, Lyrik

One of Cuculum’s more recent commissions was the illustrations for the book Leben | Krieg | Lyrik (Life | War | Poetry), which was published by Achim Pilz and contains texts by him and his grandfather Otto Pilz. The book deals primarily with the war and its influence on the life of Otto Pilz, who became a deserter in 1945, as well as with Otto Pilz’s relationship with Joseph Beuys.

The book was presented on 21.01.2024 in the Remise Bukarest in Stuttgart as part of a reading and a small exhibition of the illustrations. We were delighted to be invited and wish the project all the best.
